About Me

I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at Sorbonne Center for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI) advised by Erwan Scornet and Rafael Pinot. My current research focuses on improving both the privacy and the training efficiency of large multi-modal models.

Before joining SCAI, I was a postdoctoral researcher at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne working on enhancing reasoning in vision language models in collaboration with the Natural Language Processing lab and the Visual Intelligence for Transportation lab. I completed my Ph.D. in applied mathematics in November 2022, jointly at valeo.ai and l’École des Ponts Paris Tech where I was advised by Patrick Pérez, Mathieu Aubry and Renaud Marlet. My doctoral research focused on the optimization process in deep learning including the developement of a theoretical framework to explicitely quantify the impact of normalization layers on optimization as well as improving models resilience to distribution shifts in computer vision tasks. Prior to my Ph.D., I worked as a computer vision engineer in San Francisco in 2018. I graduated from École Centrale Paris in 2017 in applied mathematics and obtained a bachelor from Université de Paris in fundamental mathematics. I am also 2013 laureate of the Fondation Sciences Mathématiques de Paris.
